The Tolowa Dee-ni’ Nation is concerned about the impacts of surrounding agricultural land uses on environmental and human health. The Smith River Pollution Exposure Assessment is a comprehensive approach to securing long-term water resiliency and independence for the Tribe. Blue Tomorrow is supporting the Tribe with collecting water quality data and determining potential risks from pesticides and other pollutants known to be impacting the lower Smith River. This also includes developing a detailed pollution mitigation plan that outlines strategies to reduce pollutant loading to the lower Smith River and its tributaries.
