Angeles national forest barrier improvement project

The purpose of this project was to reverse and prevent resource damage caused by unauthorized off-highway vehicle (OHV) use in areas impacted by the 2002 Copper Fire and the 2013 Powerhouse Fire. The establishment of user-created trails and other unauthorized uses in these fire-impacted zones resulted in resource damage, including erosion and vegetation loss, throughout the proposed project area. Blue Tomorrow worked to install new off-highway vehicle barriers and improve existing barriers at nine (9) sites where user-created trails and other unauthorized uses had caused resource damage in areas impacted by the Copper and Powerhouse Fires.
