On behalf of the United States Forest Service (USFS) and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF), we are conducting a comprehensive inventory of stream condition in the San Francisquito Creek Watersheds. For this project, we are assessing impacts from the Copper Fire to water resources and aquatic habitat, providing baseline information prior to construction of stream crossing projects, and identifying future restoration opportunities. The stream inventory utilizes the Stream Condition Inventory (SCI) protocols developed by the USFS for the Pacific Southwest Region. Surveyed streams include critical habitat and over-summering habitat for the endangered unarmored three-spine stickleback and the California red-legged frog.
