chumash community air quality monitoring network & pesticide air sampling

Blue Tomorrow contracted with the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians to develop the Chumash Community Air Quality Monitoring Network. In the summer of 2020, three (3) low-cost community air quality monitoring units were deployed across the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians Reservation to collect air pollutant concentration data. Blue Tomorrow developed a Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) for the project, and a data analysis report that evaluated yearly air quality data.

Blue Tomorrow developed a Pesticide Pollution Assessment for the Santa Ynez Chumash Environmental Office (SYCEO). This assessment expanded on other pollution sourcing investigations conducted by Blue Tomorrow from surrounding agriculture and viticulture. Blue Tomorrow developed a Pesticide Air Sampling Plan, collected and shipped fence-line air samples to a certified laboratory, and managed the laboratory contract. After sample analysis was received, Blue Tomorrow evaluated potential toxicity and risk.
