The Morongo Band of Mission Indians investigated particulate matter (PM) pollution on the Reservation in Riverside County. Blue Tomorrow partnered with the Tribe to complete this project. A high-volume air sampler was used to collect PM samples alongside the Morongo Regulatory Air Monitoring Station (AMS) to assess air quality on the Reservation. Air samples were collected by Blue Tomorrow and analyzed for concentrations of heavy metals. A final report was developed, and analytical results were compared to EPA screening levels to determine community health risks from exposure to these pollutants.
