Guadalupe – Community Air Monitoring Project

Blue Tomorrow is partnering with the Community Environmental Council to develop a community air monitoring network in Guadalupe, California. Funded by the California Air Resources Board, this air monitoring network provides community-scale air quality monitoring, bilingual education, and community engagement in Guadalupe and adjoining areas of the Santa Maria Valley. Results from the technical air monitoring and community engagement activities will be used to develop a two-part Community Action Plan with recommendations to sustain or expand community air monitoring, improve air quality notification systems, and reduce air pollution in the project area. The purpose of this project is to provide information on the local community to help reduce exposure to air pollutants from wildfire smoke, pesticides, and other pollution sources.
