Angeles National Forest – Roads Inventory and Erosion Assessment

On behalf of the United States Forest Service (USFS) and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation (NFWF), Blue Tomorrow conducted a comprehensive inventory of stream conditions in the San Francisquito Creek Watersheds. For this project, we assessed impacts from the Copper Fire to water resources and aquatic habitat, provided baseline information prior to construction of stream crossing projects, and identified future restoration opportunities. The stream inventory utilized the Stream Condition Inventory (SCI) protocols developed by the USFS for the Pacific Southwest Region. Surveyed streams included critical habitat and over-summering habitat for the endangered unarmored three-spine stickleback and the California red-legged frog.
